Jeddah World Fest: a handful of superstars

Even in the absence of Nicki Minaj, the first international music festival held yesterday in Jeddah delighted the crowds present, thanks in particular to a prestigious line-up.

Several American superstars were present yesterday at the first edition of the Jeddah World Fest, not far from the King Abdullah Sports City Stadium, on the biggest stage the region has ever known.

Among the last ones announced, singer Janet Jackson, as well as rappers 50 Cent and Future, or R’n’B singer Chris Brown, created the event by their presence, announced shortly before the show.

Sold-out

These performances were eagerly awaited by the public, as evidenced by the festival’s ticket office, which was sold out long before the kick-off. This same audience was not disappointed, according to the many testimonies shared on social networks, under the hashtag #JeddahWorldFest.

This concert is part of the Jeddah Season, aimed at developing tourism in the coastal city, and part of the kingdom’s strategy to invest in entertainment development.
