A $80 Grant for Each Passenger on a Charter Flight to Jordan

The Hashemite Kingdom is putting its hand in its pocket to boost its tourism by targeting these low-cost flights linking Jordanian airports to several European, Asian and African cities.

In order to promote charter operations to the Hashemite Kingdom, the Jordan Tourism Board has updated new incentives for charter flights for the year 2023. These subsidies will be granted to tour operators using ITC flights under certain conditions.

What are the conditions to benefit from the subsidies?

The charter operator will receive a subsidy of $80 per passenger staying for a period of at least six nights in Jordan during the months of December, January, February, June, July and August. The subsidy will be $70 per passenger staying for a minimum of 5 nights in Jordan for the same period.

The subsidy will be $50 per passenger staying for a minimum of 6 nights in Jordan during the months of March, April, May, September, October and November. The subsidy will be $40 per passenger who stays for a minimum of 5 nights in Jordan during the months of March, April, May, September, October and November.

Tourism in Jordan is on the rise

Less expensive and exclusive to tour operators, charter flights also have the advantage of offering direct non-stop trips. By targeting these flights, Amman hopes to boost its tourism by broadening the spectrum of potential travelers and by targeting, in particular, cities and airports other than those of the major European, Asian and African capitals.

Despite a less prosperous period, linked to the health crisis, Jordan has remained a popular destination in the Middle East. In fact, tourism revenues in Jordan increased by 115% in the first 11 months of 2022, with 4.6 million arrivals worth $5.3 billion, compared to the same period last year.
