Apple Pay launches its mobile payment service in Saudi Arabia

Announced since last October, Apple launched its payment service in Saudi Arabia on February 19.

Saudi Visa customers can now make many purchases via their iphone in various shops such as Carrefour, Al Baik, Sephora, Lacoste, Starbucks or Homecentre.

After Sadad and Mada Pay, pioneers in the country in cashless payment available, it is Apple Pay’s turn to make its mark in the kingdom.

This arrival has been greeted by Ali Bailoun, Visa’s Managing Director for Saudi Arabia. “As a country with technology-driven consumers and mobile consumers, we are delighted to work with Saudi Payments and our banking partners Apple Pay to Visa cardholders here, making their payment experience easier, faster and more secure than ever” said Ali Bailoun.
