By 2020, intelligent buses will transport pilgrims in Mecca

Connected to a Wi-Fi network, the buses will be fully environmentally friendly, with fully automated navigation, collection and payment systems. Similarly, air conditioning, audio and video information, security and electronic display systems will be designed to be as sophisticated, modern and explanatory as possible.

A 853 million dollar project

This project, co-signed by the Saudi holding company Nesma and the Spanish Transport Network Company for a total cost of RS 3.2 billion (USD 853 million), aims to transport and serve pilgrims and inhabitants of the city of Mecca while ensuring the flow of traffic, often dense, especially during the hajj period.
