Etihad takes care of 50% of your next trip!

The UAE airline Etihad Airways has just launched a rather generous campaign to boost its sales, which are undoubtedly suffering from the current global health crisis.

Starting today and for a limited time (until the 24th of June), travelers who purchase vouchers from Etihad Airways will be given 50% extra credit, to be spent on travel to the airline’s multiple destinations, valid for two years.

Specifically, if you purchase $1,000 worth of airline tickets, Etihad will provide an additional $500 worth of coupons to spend on your trip. A good deal that will undoubtedly delight many globe-trotters. The minimum purchase of coupons starts at 250 dollars.

Marketing strategy

“Now, more than ever, we want to give the world a positive perspective, a reason to look ahead,” says Robin Kamark, Etihad’s sales director. Beyond these words, it is obviously a clever business strategy to revive figures that, like those of most global companies in this time of crisis, the passenger transport sector, in particular, are in critical decline. Thus, the campaign and promotion are only accessible to subscribers to the company’s loyalty offer: Etihad Guest. A program for which registration is free and can be done directly by phone by calling the Etihad switchboard. The accumulated credit can then be used via the “Travel Bank” on the customer portal, a sort of piggy bank that customers can use as a means of payment.
