A good pre-World Cup performance

On Thursday night, despite going four games in a row without scoring a goal, the Green Falcons more than held their own against a team with a number of stars playing in Europe’s top leagues: the United States.

In Spain, the Saudi team coached by Herve Renard had to deal without four of its executives: Salem Al-Dawsari, Salman Al-Faraj, Yasser Al-Shahrani and Mohammed Al-Owais. This was an opportunity for the coach to rotate his squad and to test some players with two months to go before the World Cup.

In the end, at the end of a disputed match and facing stars such as Christian Pulisic, Saudi Arabia hung on to a draw, although the selection had some chances that could have changed the result of the game.

Ready for the World Cup?

The Saudi Arabian team seems to be ready for the World Cup. With two months to go before the big group matches against Argentina, Poland and Mexico, three opponents that will be difficult to negotiate for the Saudi team, we can see huge improvements in the game that suggest a good World Cup for the selection.

Can we expect a surprise qualification of Saudi Arabia in the round of 16? Answer in two months.
