Dhahran has recently gained a new architectural masterpiece. The King Abdulaziz Center for World Culture has been designed by the Norwegian architecture firm Snøhetta. It’s a project of Saudi Aramco Oil Company to promote cultural development.

The Center has a total area of over 70,000 square meters and the main building is seen to be suspended. There are an auditorium, a cinema, a library, an exhibition hall, a museum and an archive. The library contains 200,000 books on open access. The center represents a new strong landmark for the region of Dhahran.
