In Dubai, the extraordinary hotel built in ‘Jenga’ style

The new Atlantis The Royal in Dubai is located in the artificial island archipelago of Palm Jumeirah

The resort is located in the Palm Jumeirah archipelago and has 795 rooms starting from 850 dollars per night and 231 flats spread over six towers, arranged in blocks reminiscent of the famous board game ‘Jenga’.

‘The world’s largest jellyfish aquarium’

The incredible new 43-storey hotel, which will welcome its first guests from March 2023, has a 90-metre infinity pool on the 22nd floor and Heston Blumenthal’s first cocktail bar. Costing $1.4 billion, Atlantis The Royal has 92 pools and 17 restaurants and bars and is set to become one of Dubai’s most impressive hotels. Built by New York studio Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates, the hotel’s special features include having ‘the world’s largest jellyfish aquarium’ inside. Here are the first images.
