Rajwa al Saif, all you need to know about the future Queen of Jordan

Born in Riyadh, with a degree in architecture from New York, and the youngest of four children, the 28-year-old woman who is about to marry Al Hussein of Jordan comes from a very wealthy Saudi family descended from a dynasty of sheikhs.

Al Hussein of Jordan, the eldest son of Queen Rania and King Abd Allah II, is, as announced by the Jordanian Royal Household, about to marry Rajwa al Saif.

But who is the beautiful girl who stole the heart of the heir to the throne by guaranteeing him a future crown on his head through her royal marriage?

A descendant of sheikhs

Rajwa, born in Riyadh on 28 April 1994, comes from one of the most important and wealthy families in Saudi Arabia. At the home of her parents, Khalid bin Musaed bin Saif bin Abdulaziz al Saif and Azza bint Nayef Abdulaziz Ahmed al Sudairi, Hussein of Jordan, in keeping with tradition, proposed to his beloved.

Nothing was known about the couple until the wedding was announced. After all, the customs of the Hashemite monarchy stipulate that engagements are only revealed when the protagonists decide to take the step. And that was also the case this time.

Rajwa’s family is not royal, but it is descended from a dynasty of sheikhs. The origins of the al Saif are to be found in the Subai clan, which ruled the city of Al-Attar until the end of the 19th century.

On her mother’s side, the 28-year-old is therefore linked to the Saudi royal family: her mother, like the current King Salman, belongs to the al Sudairi clan. The youngest of four children, Rajwa has a degree in architecture from Syracuse University in New York and comes from a very rich family.

Her father, a civil engineer trained at the American University of Beirut, is the owner of the El Seif Group business conglomerate, one of the country’s most powerful in the construction and investment sector.

The royal family is over the moon

Until recently, Hussein was considered Jordan’s golden bachelor. But Rajwa is about to put a wedding ring on his finger. And he couldn’t be happier.

The day after the wedding announcement, the prince wanted to express his joy by sharing a new photo with his fiancée on Instagram with a short caption: “We pray to God to bless us. I am grateful to my dear Jordanian family for their sincere support.

That Rajwa received a wonderful welcome from the Jordanian royal family is a certainty. Queen Rania, immediately after the announcement of the wedding, had sent touching wishes to the newlyweds: “I prayed to God, as any mother, to grant you good and to find the person you love, Rajwa has arrived. Congratulations to my son, Prince Al-Hussein, and his precious and sweet wife Rajwa. May God bless you and make you happy and complete, I did not think it was possible to have so much joy in my heart,” the monarch wrote.
