Rudi Garcia has chosen Saudi Arabia

Rudi Garcia is finally back to coaching more than a year after leaving Olympique Lyonnais and puts an end to speculation about his new club. It’s official, the Frenchman has just signed for two seasons with Al-Nassr, a leading club in the Saudi Arabian league.

A new experience, new ambitions

French champion in 2011 with LOSC, then finalist of the Europa League with OM in 2018, Rudi Garcia has finally left OL to head for a new horizon. The coach is indeed preparing to take the reins of a team outside the European zone for the first time in his career.

The coach has just been hired for two seasons and a salary of 5.6 million euros per year by Al-Nassr, a top Saudi club based in Riyadh, the country’s capital. The team, which is ranked in the top three of the country’s premier league, hopes to take advantage of the French coach to improve the national soccer and raise the level of its competitions.
