Sneak Me celebrates street culture in Saudi Arabia

The Sneak Me festival, organized in Riyadh until Friday, gathers visitors around a theme: sneakers. But more globally, it is all the youth that is honored in this event that gives pride of place to art, entertainment, and street culture in general.

With nearly 67% of the Saudi population under the age of 35, and a genuine desire to establish itself regionally and globally as a must-have event organizer, Saudi Arabia is drawing a lot of attention right now.

As should it, as the positioning of the event is resolutely forward-looking. In fact, Sneak Me wants to “break down the barriers of creativity and show the renewed optimism of Saudi Arabia through art, fashion and music”.

Ok, but concretely, how does it materialize? Well, by a space that extends over a few hundred square meters, sort of a cultural melting pot, between shopping, entertainment and even sports, since a basketball court has been installed for the occasion.

An all-encompassing festival

Thus, renowned brands from different sectors take part in the event. They all offer their latest products and concepts, to the delight of serial shoppers. As for sneaker aficionados, who are the core target of the event, they are also pampered since an entire section is dedicated to the most sought-after and rare sneakers on the market. And to make them even rarer, an area of the festival allows you to customize them.

And shoes are not the only ones to get made over since spaces are also set up for tattoo artists, piercers, barbers, or nail artists.

But shopping and physical appearance are not everything. Cultural elevation happens through communion, which the organizers understood well. Concerts, round tables, sports events (basketball and skating in particular), and art installations are also on the menu, for an event that is undoubtedly setting a precedent.
