She announced it last week. The French-Tunisian actress and model Sonia Ben Ammar intended to contribute to the common effort in the fight against the coronavirus.

It is now a done deal. On her Instagram account, the young woman showed up with her arms loaded with protective masks. She reports to her 750,000 subscribers: “I made 100 masks and donated them to retirement homes. I sincerely advise you to do the same if you need masks!” As such, Sonia Ben Ammar helps the elderly, who are the most vulnerable to the virus.

“Do It Yourself”

In her post, the actress urges her community to learn about mask-making by watching YouTube tutorials, as one possibility. “They are not medical masks, but they are perfectly safe for everyday use, can be washed and reused.” A very “eco-friendly” initiative from the actress who lives in Paris.

Showing a real commitment to the fight against the virus, the young woman also recently took part in the #DoYourPartChallenge, partnering with DoorDash, a popular food delivery service in the United States, to provide free meals to people in need.
