Tennis: Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic to Compete in Saudi Arabia

Following its desire to become a major host for international sports events, Saudi Arabia will organize on December 22nd a tennis game between two of the best tennis players in the world.

ATP ranking leader Rafael Nadal and last US Open winner Novak Djokovic, have agreed to compete in Saudi Arabia at the “King Salman Tennis Championship“. This exhibition match will take place on December 22, at King Abdullah Sports City in Jeddah. The invitation has delighted the two tennis players. “Thanks for the invitation and looking forward to playing and visiting for the first time” said the Spaniard in a tweet.

Same enthusiasm on the side of the Serbian, which seemed delighted to visit “this beautiful country”.

Saudi Arabia opens to world sport events

So far, Saudi Arabia never hosted an ATP tournament. Hosting this game shows the desire of the kingdom to become a major world-class sports events host in the future.
