The Emirates are betting on combining cruising and ecology

The Geneva-based shipping company MSC Cruises, in partnership with the United Arab Emirates, will be organizing winter voyages in the Persian Gulf on board the world’s most ecological and modern ship.

The 22-deck MSC World Europa is planning a seven-night, three-stop winter voyage from Abu Dhabi or Dubai via Sir Bani Yas Island and Dammam in Saudi Arabia. The ship is currently under construction at a shipyard in France.

Entertainment, travel and ecology

The MSC World Europa will have 2,626 cabins and will be able to accommodate up to 7,000 passengers. Over 330 meters long, it will also have six swimming pools, 13 restaurants, an indoor promenade, a water park and an 11-deck spiral slide, the longest dry slide at sea in the world.

With a view to preserving ecosystems, the cruise will run on liquefied natural gas, the cleanest marine fuel available, which drastically reduces carbon emissions. It will be equipped with an underwater radiated noise management system responsible for disturbing marine life. The MSC World Europa will also be equipped with advanced wastewater treatment systems to maximize recycling.

The United Arab Emirates, in its efforts to develop tourism, is also choosing the planet. A cultural holiday without polluting!
