The world’s highest swimming pool is in Dubai

The Adress Beach Resort’s pool, the highest in the world, opened in Dubai a few days ago, making its entry into the Guinness Book of World Records official.

The Adress Beach Resort, a luxury Dubai beachfront hotel, has just acquired an asset that should please travelers visiting the region. It is the highest swimming pool in the world. Perched 300 meters high, it is 95 meters long and 16 meters wide. It’s enough to take a dip on the 77th floor of a hotel complex, with an unobstructed view of the famous Palm Islands, which are enthroned in the middle of extraordinarily turquoise water. Just imagine… From up there, passers-by look like ants. You look down on the world as if you were on top of the Eiffel Tower or the Empire State Building.

With the opening of this pool, the Adress Beach officially enters the Guinness World Records, dethroning in the process the “Infinity pool”, which culminates at 250 meters high, in the Marina Bay Sands hotel complex in Singapore.

On the other hand, if the pool is becoming more and more a must-see stop during a visit to the emirate, it is unfortunately not open to the public, but on the contrary, reserved for the hotel’s clients. A clientele that we imagine relatively “well-to-do” since the price of the rooms starts from 1500 dirhams the night, that is to say approximately 340 euros. A small “tip” however, the pool is also accessible to those who reserve a table at Zeta Seventy Seven, one of the hotel’s restaurants, where it is worthwhile to count about 200 dirhams – or 45 euros – for a meal.
