The world’s most expensive shoes were unveiled in Dubai
Recently, a pair of heels shoes, made as part of Fashion Week MIDE (Made in Italy, Designed in Emirates), was unveiled in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. With exuberant characteristics to say the least… this pair of pumps has become the most expensive in the world.
This is a new record for the United Arab Emirates and Dubai. Considered a major fashion center in the Middle East, the Dubai emirate has given itself the luxury – and the term is well-chosen – of hosting the most expensive pair of shoes ever made on the Dubai Marina, worth $19.9 million.
Why so expensive?
The price of the shoes is so high for several reasons. First, they are made of solid gold (we didn’t ask if it was easy to walk with…). Then, the heels house 30-carat diamonds, as well as – and this is where the value rises – a small piece of a meteorite discovered in Argentina in the 16th century. But neither did we ask if they made running faster…

What is certain is that these shoes shatter the previous record, which was held by a pair at 15.5 million euros. Small players…
As for records, the emirate is not at its first attempt since, earlier this year, it had already been the scene of the launch of a bottle of perfume worth over a million euros.
