Rotana: “I want to be a singer”

At 28, Saudi singer Rotana has charmed audience from Paris to Los Angeles. Very vocal about the situation of women in her home country, she uses her music to give Saudi Arabian women a voice.

In 2013, she quit her job in a Saudi Arabian oil company in Dhahran to follow her dream to become a singer in Los Angeles. In the same year, she sings to support Saudi women to drive in a country where they cannot. The video got more than 300,000 hits.

Today she lives in the United States where she sings and fights for women’s rights in her home country.
