3 legendary monsters from the Arab culture

1. Djinns

They are mentioned in both pre-Islamic stories and the Qur’an. In Islam, these creatures, invisible to the human eye, are created from smokeless fire and are able to influence us spiritually and mentally.

2. Ghuls

Typical of pre-Islamic cultures, ghuls are ogres that can take on the appearance of a hyena or a woman and feed on corpses that they dig up in cemeteries.

3. Ifrits

Present in Islamic writings, the ifrits are generally associated with the underworld and described as powerful demons or ghosts haunting deserted places or temples. They can be both evil and beneficial.
