English e-sport exports to Dubai

It’s a first! Next October, Insomnia, England’s biggest gaming and e-sport festival, will open its doors in… Dubai. The event, which has been in existence since 1999, is familiar with this type of local offshoot, which it has already developed in Dublin and Cairo.

From 17 to 19 October, the Meydan Grandstand Conference Hall in Dubai will open its doors to the biggest gaming and e-sport festival in England. Then, fans of video games of all kinds will be able to attend or participate in tournaments on a wide range of games popular with the community, such as Call of Duty, Fortnite, Overwatch, or League of Legends.

Gamer’s paradise

Also on the program are drone races, a plot dedicated to virtual reality, DJ sets, cosplay, concerts, as well as a space dedicated to LAN (Local Area Network), in which players can compete using their own machines.

In addition, exhibitions will be held to allow game publishers to showcase their latest innovations and for fans to meet some of the biggest names in the industry. At the end of the festival, an after-party should bring the walls of the very trendy Meydan Soho Garden DXB to life… Tickets are already on sale.
