Focus on the exhibition “New generation, the Arabic comic strip today”

At the moment and until December 20, 2010, an exhibition dedicated to the future of comics is being held in the hall of Rabat Agdal station, presented by the French Institute of Morocco.

About fifty authors from Algeria, Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Palestine, Syria, and Tunisia are on display in the hall of Rabat Agdal station.

The exhibition, which was presented throughout Morocco in 2019, aims to provide a strong, humorous, enlightened and sometimes raging testimony on the situation in the countries of the various authors.

Political works

While some of the works can be considered as consequences of the “Arab springs”, there are also artists prior to these periods, and even some who announced them.

A refreshing, artistic, and acidulous look that emanates from a very lively scene of young comic book authors who strive to change the situation, evoking the daily life of urban populations, their intimacy, mixing graphic genres (manga, Arab drawing, street art, etc.) according to their inspiration.
