Jordanian princess Iman ties the knot in a royal wedding
Amidst the splendor of the Beit Al Urdun Palace in Amman, Jordan, a royal wedding took place, marking the union of Princess Iman of Jordan and Jameel Alexander Thermiotis, a Venezuelan venture capitalist of Greek origin.

Haute couture for a royal wedding
Princess Iman walked down the aisle in a Dior gown, adorned with a lace veil and a Chaumet tiara. The couple exchanged vows and wedding rings, and Princess Iman outlined the terms of their marriage before signing the marriage contract. The bride’s father, King Abdullah II, and her two brothers, Crown Prince Hussein and Prince Hashem, were present.

The mother of the bride, Queen Rania, wore a Dior dress from the Fall 2022 collection. She watched the ceremony with great emotion from the front row, accompanied by her two sons, her youngest daughter Princess Salma, and Crown Prince Hussein’s Saudi fiancée, Rajwa Khaled bin Musaed bin Saif bin Abdulaziz Al Saif. Several members of the extended Jordanian royal family were also present, including Princess Raiyah and her husband, British writer Ned Donovan, grandson of Roald Dahl.

Extended celebrations
Following the ceremony, the couple retired to a separate room, where they cut a towering wedding cake with each other. Queen Rania shared photos of the wedding on Instagram, expressing her excitement for the new chapter in her daughter’s life. “Iman, I pray this next chapter in your life brings you as much joy, love, and laughter as you have brought us over the years. Congratulations to the bride and groom!” she wrote.

The festivities began earlier in the week with a traditional henna party, which Queen Rania also shared on Instagram with a short video showing the floral arrangements, curly chairs, cathedral candles and ceiling draped in light fabrics.
The princess’ wedding will not be the only celebration for the royal family this year, as Crown Prince Hussein is set to marry his fiancée, Rajwa Al-Saif, on June 1.
