After London, Los Angeles and Shanghai, it is now the Middle East's turn to welcome hundreds of wax dolls. Recently announced, the Madame Tussauds International Museum is expected to open in Dubai by the end of 2019.
The famous Madame Tussauds wax museum will open its doors on Bluewaters Island in Dubai in 2019. Founded in London in 1835, the museum is known to house many wax dolls bearing the effigy of world figures from sport, cinema, music, and politics.
Madame Tussauds in Dubai, a museum for tourists
Now a major attraction in the British capital, Mrs. Tussauds has opened several international sites, including in Germany, the United States, China, Japan, Australia, and Turkey. With its upcoming opening in the United Arab Emirates, the famous museum is setting foot in the Arab world for the first time, a first, which the Dubai government hopes to use to boost the flow of tourists in the largest city in the United Arab Emirates.
While it is not yet clear which celebrities will be immortalized in wax in this new museum, many hope to see some faces from the region.
