The Knowledge Circle is part of the second cultural season organized by the National Library and Archives.  “The National Library and Archives are committed to the preservation of archival content and ensuring that it is available and accessible to the public, and raising awareness of the importance of maintaining a record of documents for their role in safeguarding the nation’s memory,” explained the NLA’s director-general Abdullah Majid Al-Ali, in a recent statement.

This initiative will also highlight UAE institutions proficient in archival processes for documenting the history and progress of the Emirate. Speakers will provide insights into historical periods, ranging from the early Islamic era to the present.

The Knowledge Circle is an integral component of the NLA’s second cultural season, which seeks to underline the importance of information. Isobel Abulhoul, founder, advisor, and trustee of the Emirates Literature Foundation, acknowledged the initiative as a significant endeavor in cultural development, saying that it’s “an important initiative that reflects our commitment to providing opportunities for individuals to deepen their understanding of cultural development.”
