Pierre Gagnaire will create the menu for the Louvre Abu Dhabi

French Michelin star chef Pierre Gagnaire is in charge of creating the menu for the first gourmet restaurant at the Louvre Abu Dhabi Museum.

The Louvre Abu Dhabi Museum recently announced the opening of a gourmet restaurant with a menu featuring French starred chef Pierre Gagnaire. The restaurant will actually be a branch of Fouquet’s, the well-known French brasserie, which already has addresses in Paris, Cannes, Toulouse, and Marrakech.

Chef Pierre Gagnaire is the head of 15 restaurants around the world (including one in Dubai) for a total of 15 Michelin stars. He will be responsible for including on the menu a few “signature” dishes from Fouquet’s, which “reflect the local culture and tastes of an international clientele”.

“Unique experiences”

The restaurant will be designed by the architect Jean Nouvel, it should have Arabic motifs, and offer customers a panoramic view of the sea.

Manuel Rabaté, Director of the Abu Dhabi Louvre, said in a statement: “With the opening of Fouquet’s at the Abu Dhabi Louvre next year, the museum continues to bring unique and exceptional experiences to Saadiyat Island”.
