Saudi Arabia: League of Legends comes through the front door

Today is the start of the first official League of Legends tournament in the Middle East. An immense opportunity for the reputation of the sport in the region.

Nexus Arabia, the first-ever official League of Legends tournament in the MENA region, opens today in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia.

For 3 days, the region’s top eight teams (who qualified from among some 750 entries) will compete for prizes totaling $2 million, all in front of more than 30,000 thrilled spectators.

A festival in its own right

On the menu: team matches, duels, fights between influencers, mini-games, and many entertainments such as concerts, with the American singer Jason Derulo as the highlight.

Among the teams present are the best regional structures such as EGZ, Oshtek Warriors, or Nasr eSports. There is no doubt that they will be keen to place the Middle East on the global eSport map, delivering resounding performances.
