First of 11 festivals scheduled in Saudi Arabia in 2019, the Color Run makes its first appearance in the Kingdom as part of the recent launch of the Sharqiah season, dedicated to entertainment.

Hosted twice in the United Arab Emirates in 2018, the Color Run makes its debut this year for the first time in Saudi Arabia. On March 23rd, on the edge of the city of Khobar, the Color Run will mark the beginning of the Sharqiah season, a project of more than 80 events with 11 festivals in the eastern cities of the kingdom aiming at offering a vast entertainment experience to Saudis as well as visitors to the kingdom.

The Color Run, a unique event in Saudi Arabia

Created in 2012 and with more than 7 million participants in 40 countries, the Color Run is a unique 5 km non-timed race. At the start, all dressed in white, the riders are, at each 1 km checkpoint, sprayed with different colours. This year, the theme of the race will be “celebrating the hero in you”.
