Saudi Arabia’s Riyadh Season, an annual entertainment festival running from October to March, began its fourth edition with a momentous boxing match, termed the “Battle of the Baddest,” in which British boxer Tyson Fury won in a 10-round bout against former mixed martial arts world champion, Francis Ngannou. The Riyadh Season hopes to be a focal point for global talents encompassing athletes, artists, and social media influencers. The Chairman of the General Entertainment Authority in Saudi Arabia, Turki Al-Sheikh, inaugurated the event, in partnership with Saudi league superstar Cristiano Ronaldo. “It is an honor for me to live in Saudi Arabia for 9 months, and it is a pleasure to be part of this amazing country and the Riyadh Season,” he said.
