For the first time, the select Michelin guide is turning to the flavors of the Middle East. And Dubai had the honor of becoming the 36th world destination ranked by the French gastronomic guide.
In 2021, Dubai welcomed over 7.2 million tourists. With a population composed of nearly 90% expatriates, the culinary culture of the Dubai emirate draws on a variety of roots. Dubai has thousands of restaurants serving a variety of cuisines, from gourmet to street food.

Pierre Gagnaire’s first restaurant in the Middle-East is based in Dubai.
World-renowned chefs
The emirate’s establishments, headed by world-renowned chefs such as Pierre Gagnaire and Yannick Alleno, will be evaluated according to the criteria applied by the guide in Europe, Asia and North America. The key is to be certified by the prestigious stars that reward excellent cuisine, or the Bib Gourmand awarded to good restaurants.
What remains certain is that Dubai is now one of the top destinations to visit for tourists in search of taste!
