Dubai will host the Rise festival 2019

This annual festival, usually held in October in the Mojave Desert near Las Vegas, will take place on November 8 in… the Dubai Desert. 

The one-day event, which has not yet revealed its artistic programming, promises to be visually spectacular, as would probably attest the 100 000 people who have already participated. 

Eco-friendly festival

The organizers promise to adopt sustainable and ecological practices: each lantern will be custom-made and biodegradable, without plastic or metal. As part of the festival’s policy, all waste will be collected at the end of the festivities.

Dan Hill, a co-founder of the event, said in a statement: “Rise supports tolerance and unity, and echoes our hopes, dreams, goals, and aspirations. [The festival] has so much in common with Dubai’s vision that we couldn’t have imagined a better place on Earth to host our first international festival.”
