Dubai will soon have its own Monopoly!
The Emirati capital should soon, like more than 100 countries, have its own customized version of the famous board game.
This week, Dubai residents may see a somewhat… unusual visitor strolling through the streets. It is Mr. Monopoly, the mascot of the classic board game that has sold more than 250 million copies worldwide.
If this character is going to walk the streets of the city, it is because it will soon join the club of metropolises with their own personalized version of the game of Monopoly. The new set should be unveiled to the public on November 4 and start being sold the next day.
“Promote the city”
Issam Kazim, CEO of the Dubai Corporation for Tourism and Commerce Marketing, said: “This internationally recognized game… will not only promote the city’s diverse range of destinations to a global audience, but the new Monopoly sign will offer visitors and residents an exciting new way to discover the city.
