Dubai’s Ferris wheel will be the largest in the world

It is called Ain Dubai and should culminate at a height of 250 meters. The project managers have just installed the very first passenger cabin on it, bringing it closer to the day when tourists and residents will be able to sit in it to overlook the city.

The project was originally scheduled to be completed for the World Expo in Dubai in 2020, but this has been postponed until 2021 because of a coronavirus that humanity is still struggling to rid itself of. No urgency, therefore, for the engineers, architects and workers in charge of the project. However, there is no question of dawdling. The Ferris wheel in Dubai, in the United Arab Emirates, is progressing well since it has just received its very first passenger cabin. The first of a total of 47.

An impregnable viewpoint

Once completed, Ain Dubai (that’s the name of the attraction) will culminate at no less than 250 meters high on Bluewaters Island off Jumeirah Beach Residence. An unparalleled vantage point to feast your eyes on the Dubai landscape, between an urban skyline and a popular seaside resort. Unparalleled, simply because this wheel will be… the highest in the world, surpassing by some 80 meters the Ferris wheel of Las Vegas, until then record holder!
