Famous couch from Friends soon to be exhibited at the Burj Khalifa

Notice to fans of the American sitcom “Friends”: the emblematic Central Perk sofa in the series will soon be exhibited in the United Arab Emirates. On the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the show, the highest tower in the world, the Burj Khalifa, will host a replica of the chair on September 22nd.

The American sitcom “Friends” intends to celebrate the 25th anniversary of its first broadcast as it should be.

On September 22, an exact replica of the sofa in the Central Perk café, a recurring feature of the series, will be on display in the United Arab Emirates, in the world’s tallest tower, the Burj Khalifa. 29 other replicas will be exhibited in famous places around the world, from the Empire State Building in New York to the Royal Palace in Madrid and the Comic-Con Africa in Johannesburg…

“Friends”, a popular series in the Arab world

Broadcast from 1994 to 2004, “Friends” tells the story of six friends living in Manhattan, played by Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry and David Schwimmer.

With 236 episodes, “Friends” has gained popularity that has crossed borders. In the Middle East, some fans opened coffee shops in tribute to the series’ Central Perk, such as in Dubai and Egypt.
