Guy Ritchie celebrated at the next Red Sea Film Festival

The English director will be honored with a lifetime achievement award at the upcoming Red Sea Film Festival, which will take place from December 1 to 10 in Saudi Arabia.

The organizers of the Red Sea Film Festival recently announced the name of the filmmaker who would receive the honors at the next edition, and the least we can say is that it is a big name.

One of the greats

The British director Guy Ritchie, to whom we owe legendary opuses such as Snatch, or Lock, Stock, and two smoking barrels, will receive a special award at the opening of the festival to reward the entirety of his work, following the example of Catherine Deneuve, who received the distinction at the inaugural edition of the festival.

“He is considered one of the greatest directors working today,” said the organizers. “A gifted storyteller, Ritchie has a signature style that makes him unique and deserving of recognition for his body of work.”

As a reminder, the festival, held in Jeddah on the Red Sea, will feature more than 130 films and shorts from over 60 countries in 41 languages. A meeting no movie lover should miss.
