In Dubai, a lake in the shape of a stingray appears in the middle of the desert

Dubai has always been distinguished by its architecture and its unusual landscapes, and this new lake discovered in the middle of the Al Qudra desert is no exception to the rule.

The Al Marmoon Desert in Dubai is an ideal place to get away from the big cities and get in touch with nature. The Al Qudra site, which covers 40 hectares in the Desert Conservation Reserve, is well known to campers from all over the world for its many species of protected birds and animals, such as the sand gazelle.

The Love lake was imagined by the crown prince of Dubai.

Lakes with unusual shapes

The region is famous for its ten or so artificial oases with astonishing shapes. After Love Lake and Crescent Lake, this one is the center of attention, and for good reason: it is shaped like a sea ray, a symbol of human protection, humility and wisdom. The creators of this new lake have also planted a dozen trees around it, in order to eventually embellish it with a green alley in the middle of the desert.
