Many companies have taken positive initiatives since the beginning of the holy month in accordance with the holy spirit of Ramadan. Emirates Airlines, for instance, has chosen to adapt its onboard and ground service, distributing dates to all passengers during iftar and suhoor.
Similarly, when fasting is broken, boxes filled with nutritious meals including couscous salad, grilled chicken or moudardara, fatayer spinach, assorted candies and water are offered. During the month of Ramadan, Emirates plans to serve more than 150,000 cases of iftar and more than one million dates.
Healthy initiatives
In terms of its entertainment offering, the company announced the addition of religious animated series, informative programs, Arabic audio books and Khawater Ramadaneya, a programme based on the poems of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, President and Sovereign of Dubai.
Since the month of Ramadan is a month of forgiveness, sharing and generosity, this service package is available for all passages of all cabin classes flying at the time of the iftar. The company includes flights to and from the Gulf region and flights serving Omra groups to Jeddah and Medina.
