Ronaldinho pays tribute to the firemen of Beirut

During his visit to the Lebanese capital, the former Brazilian soccer star paid tribute to the firemen who lost their sight during the tragedy that occurred on the port of Beirut last summer.

This is the beautiful image of this weekend. Visiting a Lebanon still marked by the consequences of the explosion that occurred on August 4, 2020 in the port of Beirut, and still entangled in an unprecedented political, economic and social crisis, Ronaldinho de Assis Moreira, more commonly known as Ronaldinho, visited the site of the tragedy.

Only a few days before the anniversary of the event, he paid tribute to the firefighters who lost their lives in the course of their duties. After laying a wreath of white flowers, he prayed for a few moments in memory of those who sacrificed their lives to save those of the most vulnerable.

A committed star

Of course, dozens of fans were also on hand to meet the former FC Barcelona player. Speaking to them, their idol took the time to express “his solidarity with the Lebanese people”. During the rest of his visit, it is also planned that “Ronnie” meets and exchanges with local associations, an approach rather in line with the orientation that the former footballer has chosen to give to his life, he is very active in the humanitarian field, especially through his work with the United Nations to help underprivileged children, or his fight against AIDS.
