United Arab Emirates : a floating theater will be built in Kalba

During his visit to Kalba, Sheikh Sultan Al Qasimi approved the project of a floating theater overlooking the sea. A new cultural attraction that should be built in the years to come, which should ensure Kalba the title of cultural capital of the Emirates.

Sheikh Sultan Al Qasimi is renowned throughout the Emirates for his frequent cultural activities. During his visit this week, he authorized the construction of a floating theater on the corniche of the city of Kalba. The theater, shaped like a shell and surrounded by water basins, was conceived from an idea by the sheikh himself.

Here is what was reported by the Emirates News Agency : “The theatre, with its distinctive and wonderful destination being linked to the corniche, will provide a complete view of the Kalba Corniche and the Arabian Sea.”.

A great project

This theater is part of an ambitious project that aims to make the entire east coast of Sharjah, the province in which Kalba is located, more attractive. Announced in April, the restoration of one of the city’s historic houses and the creation of a lake are also planned. The construction of a large clock in the middle of a round-about has also been mentioned, surely inspired by the neighboring emirate, Dubai. The goal? To make the city a real tourist attraction that is worth a visit!
