A multi-carat exhibition in Dubai for the Louis Vuitton brand

A first for the luxury brand, Louis Vuitton, which officially unveiled its haute joaillerie event in Dubai! The exhibition, which will take place from February 28 to March 8 in the famous private lounge of the Louis Vuitton boutique, will be an opportunity to present the rarest diamonds in its collection to the oriental world!

For the first time in the region, the Louis Vuitton brand is exhibiting the rarest and most exceptional jewel in its collection, the Sewelo diamond. Discovered in April 2019 in the Karowe mine in Botswana, this baseball-sized jewel received its name after a contest between citizens of Botswana, which means “rare find” in Setswana. Weighing over 1758 carats, this stone is the second largest rough diamond ever discovered. In addition to its size, Sewelo will catch the eye for its intriguing properties in terms of shape, color and composition.

But that’s not all and the brand is determined to make the show unforgettable for its visitors! Indeed, a second rough diamond of 549 carats, discovered in Botswana, will be presented to the greatest number of people. Entitled Sethunya, which means flower in the Setswana language, this name is a gentle nod to Louis Vuitton’s distinctive monogrammed flower.

Presentation of the entire Fine Jewelry Collection

While diamonds will be the flagship elements of the exhibition, the entire Stellar Times fine jewelry collection and several pieces from the Riders of the Knights fine jewelry collection, both designed by Francesca Amfitheatrof, Technical Director of Watches and Jewelry at Louis Vuitton, will be presented more broadly.

If The Stellar Times draws its inspiration from the exploration of space and the jewels that claim to possess the power of the stars, the Riders of the Knights collection is inspired by medieval heroines, who marked history and chose their destiny by imposing themselves in a world of men.

A not-to-be-missed event for all gem lovers
