Dubai’s next record-breaking skyscraper

Dubai, a city renowned for its imposing architecture, has recently revealed plans for a new skyscraper. The tower, developed by the real estate developer Binghatti Group in collaboration with the New York-based watch company Jacob & Co, is set to become the tallest residential building in the world measuring in at a towering 532 meters.

A new hyper tower

Located in Business Bay, the financial district of Dubai, Burj Binghatti is set to offer residents unparalleled views of the city and the surrounding landscape. The building would be entirely dedicated to residential properties, featuring luxurious apartments and top-of-the-line amenities such as an infinity pool, a luxury spa, and other state-of-the-art facilities.

“This Hyper Tower is the new word that has been coined for the planning of this colossal tower within a prime address in Dubai.” revealed the two companies.

The next tallest residential tower

A new skyscraper in Dubai may not seem like much, but Burj Binghatti sets itself apart with its ambitious scale and its focus on residential amenities. The current record for the tallest residential building belongs to the Central Park Tower in New York, standing at 472 meters. Burj Binghatti is, however, poised to surpass this record.

Burj Binghatti would not overtake Burj Khalifa as the world’s tallest skyscraper, but it would still be considered the tallest residential structure in the world. In fact, less than 85% of Burj Khalifa’s area is occupied by residential properties, which prevents it from being considered as such. Burj Binghatti, on the other hand, would be entirely residential.
