The Western figure of the Middle East

This pop star is definitely one of the most important musical figures in the Middle East over the past decades! Distinguished among eight pioneers of Lebanese culture, his diversity as an artist and producer has shaped the flow of Middle Eastern music since 2001.

Through his bands, The New Government and Zeid and The Wings, Hamdan has established his unique brand of alternative indie rock, while continuing to push the boundaries of music in the region through the Lebanese underground music scene.

He has also worked as a composer for cinema films, TV series, documentaries and global advertising campaigns. In 2019, he composed the soundtrack for Lebanese director Nadine Labaki’s film Capernaum, which highlighted the plight of Syrian refugees and was nominated for an Oscar in the Best Foreign Film category that year.

The promise of a successful partnership

I am extremely honored and thrilled to share my passion with a team that understands my vision and shares my ambition. This is the right deal at this stage of my career, with a team that has a global reach and has fought for the rights of artists in this region” says pop star Hamdan!

For his part, PopArabia also knows how to show his enthusiasm about this new collaboration. “It’s a pleasure to work with someone as talented as Zeid and his pioneering spirit” said Spek, founder of PopArabia. He continues, “I’m very proud that he entrusted PopArabia with his diverse catalog, and we look forward to working with Lynn (Adib) and Zeid to bring Bedouin Burger’s beautiful music to the world!

We’re all looking forward to the promise of this new partnership
