Venice Film Festival: 18 Arab designer dresses hit the red carpet

After a year of stoppages, upheavals and event cancellations, the cultural and artistic world is back in action and the Venice International Film Festival is back to its former glory. Indeed, from September 1st to 11th, the whole world was able to discover the successful films, honour the artists but also admire the outfits worn by the stars who chose Arab creations for the occasion.

We start with the brilliant designer from Lebanon, Zuhair Murad, whose work was spotted on a number of stars at the festival, including actress Jessica Chastain, who chose a plum jumpsuit with a lace insert. She will be remembered for the premiere of her film Scenes from a Marriage.

But the Lebanese designer’s talent was also felt elsewhere, as the artist also dressed the likes of Natalia Paragoni and Madalina Ghenea during the festival.

This year, all eyes were on Jennifer Lopez as she made her red carpet debut with 16 years husband Ben Affleck. While the couple proudly attended the premiere of Affleck’s new film, The Last Duel, it was J Lo who ultimately stole the show. Dressed in a tight white dress with a crystal neckline by Lebanese atelier Georges Hobeika, the singer and actress turned heads!

The Lebanese brand Monot has also been spotted on other big stars, as Kate Hudson and Demi Moore, two internationally known actresses, both wore the brand’s outfits to the “Celebration of Women in Cinema” gala organised by the Red Sea International Film Festival during the first weekend of the festival.

While it is impossible to list all the designers who made themselves available to dress our stars, we should not forget other houses such as Rami Kadi and Tony Ward who were also spotted on several influencers and stars, like the Saudi label Eman Alajlan.

A splendid parade worthy of the films programmed during these eleven days!
